Claude Shannon, one of the godfathers of AI, was born in 1916 back when the Ottoman Empire still existed. He published his foundational paper on machine learning back before Cuba went communist.

Computers used to be human. A "computer" was the job title a human who did math would hold. 

Then, in the 1940s, the machines started thinking and the machine computers put the human computers out of work.  

Most authors don’t know about the human computers. They don't know how old AI is. They think AI is new and scary. 

They post on Facebook about how evil AI is… while Facebook’s entire algorithm runs on AI.

They complain that Amazon is ruined by AI books… while Amazon’s search, rankings, and recommendations are pure AI.

Spell check, grammar check. fact check, autocomplete and search are all AI.

This mug is for authors who know a simple truth:  everything on a computer is AI in some form.
